Who We Are and What We Do

Grapeline Wine Tours helps guests explore California Wine Country with friendly hosts, reliable transportation, and thoughtfully planned winery visits. Since getting started in Temecula, we’ve grown to offer wine tours and transportation services in Paso Robles, Santa Barbara, Sonoma, and Napa, each with its own personality, pace, and tasting style.

Our team is here to make wine country feel easy to enjoy, especially if you’re not sure where to start. We work with couples, solo travelers, friend groups, wedding parties, and corporate groups, helping match each guest with the right tour, wineries, and transportation option for their day. Our Story

Grapeline Wine Tours started in 2002 with big plans, five chartered shuttles, and exactly four paid guests.

John and Kim Kelliher had promoted their opening day, June 22, 2002, with confidence. Their first idea was a hop-on, hop-off wine country shuttle, with multiple vehicles running a circular route through Temecula. They booked five shuttles for the big launch, ready for a full day of guests.

Instead, four people showed up. Technically, every guest could have had a shuttle to themselves, with one left over.

That night, over a very quiet dinner, John and Kim wondered if they had made a serious mistake. Thankfully, they hadn’t. What started as a humble first day has grown into one of California’s most established wine tour companies, with more than 30 vehicles, including luxury SUVs, limos, touring vans, deluxe mini-coaches, and Temecula’s only 18-passenger Mercedes Convertible.

Today, Grapeline operates across five California wine regions: Temecula, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara, Sonoma, and Napa. Behind the tours is a team of 60+ drivers, hosts, planners, and support staff who help guests enjoy wine country with confidence, comfort, and a healthy dose of fun.

							I was so impressed with my first wine tour with GrapeLine. Driver Alex was absolutely the best tour guide. His knowledge of little known facts about Temecula Wine Country, the wineries we visited and just his kind and personable demeanor made the ride portion so much fun. It was so fun to meet the other people that were part of our this tour. We went to 3 wineries, Calloway, Cougar and Truffle Pig. Two were new to me. My purchases were quickly and quietly stored in the van by Alex which took the worry & concern of dealing with that from me so I could just relax. We had lunch on the tour at Cougar. I ordered the charcuterie plate and it was fantastic. My tour was also easy to schedule. Email confirmation made it clear what to expect. This tour exceeded my expectation and was a fantastic day!

							Came to Temecula on January 31st and February 1st for their Barrel Tasting. I booked with Grapeline Tours so I didn't have to drive!!On Saturday our host was Dave W. and he was amazing and super funny. On Sunday our host was Amanda, who also has a great personality for this job.Each day was a lot of fun and very organized, I would definitely use this tour group again. I highly recommend!!

							This was our first trip to Temecula. Shaun was our host, and he clearly loves his job. In no time he had our group of eight laughing and getting to know each other. We enjoyed all three wineries and a delicious lunch. The day was full but well-paced. We returned to our hotel tired and happy (and maybe a little tipsy!). We would all highly recommend this tour (and this guide!) especially for those unfamiliar with the Temecula wine region.

							Mike was absolutely amazing! He was incredibly friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. His recommendations throughout the tour were spot-on, and he made sure everyone was safe while still having an unforgettable time. He shared is own funny stories, his great insights about the wineries, and the history of Temecula, which made the experience even more special. 							Talk of the Town in the Convertible Mercedes Sprinter You really feel like you just got your "15-minutes of Fame" on-board this sprinter and cruising the town! This van is easy to book, comfortable and nothing like the sun on your skin and wind in your hair as you cruise through wine-country and old town Temecula. They even provide complimentary scrunchies ; ) They can do more than a wine-country experience, they can also recommend other local hotspots to add to your itinerary. Guides are informative and have a great sense of humor!!

							Convertible Mercedes Sprinter, WHAT!! I have so many amazing things to say about my grapeline tour! 1. They have a Convertible Mercedes Sprinter - only 30 of these exist in the world and I was lucky enough to enjoy a ride around town in this cool ride! We had some fun tunes playing, my hair blowing in the wind and the best scenic route of Temecula! 2. The tour guides and drivers are AWESOME! They know so much about the area, pointer, tricks and tips while navigating around Temecula, including but not limited to Old Town and Wine Country. 3. The family friendly service from all the team members of Grapeline is top notch! They are an amazing company who provides amazing service and I can't wait to enjoy your services again!
