Vineyards in Sonoma
Sonoma Valley’s reputation as a leading wine region dates back to the early 1800s, when the first grapevines were planted near Mission San Francisco Solano. These early vineyards were used to produce sacramental wine and laid the groundwork for viticulture in the area.
