I just wanted to drop you a quick note and tell you what a great time we had. Our driver, Ray, was amazing! He was polite, knowledgeable, a great driver, and so much fun. We nicknamed him St. Ray, our wine angel. Not only did he have a great rapport with all of us on the tour, but he had great rapport with all the wineries that we visited. I will definitely recommend your company, and Ray to anyone that says they are traveling to wine country. I also wanted to let you know that the bus was very comfortable and clean, however the screens made it a little difficult to see outside clearly. The lunch was excellent! I had the rotisserie chicken sandwich. I would love to get the recipe for the desert bar that was in the box. Amazing! I would have liked to have been able to choose a different salad dressing (maybe a blue cheese, ranch or honey mustard). Thanks again for a wonderful and memorable day! Ann Papuga

Our trip on the Grapeline last Friday, May 1 was absolutely GREAT! Our "wine angel" Ray was awesome. (We were together with the Papugas; I think Ann already wrote to you, so you are hearing about Saint Ray again, I'm afraid!)
Ray is a great tour guide/wine guide/wine educator. He made the tour really interesting and fun. Lunch was delicious (although the vinegarette dressing did not best compliment the wine and you might want to give the option of a creamy-type dressing; sorry for nit-picking!) BUT: The entire day was wonderful and could not have been better. Thanks so very much. We are ready to come back very soon and definitely do another tour (of course, we would have to request St. Ray). -- Deb and Joe Arthur

We return home today, march 29th. Looking back at the weekend event, grapelne tours went above and beyond our expectations. it started with the reservations girl, did not get her name, just told her it was our first time in Paso, she did the rest. I have to say we were greeted with a delightful cheerful hello at the time of pick up from Peggy and then we meet Fritz, Both made it a very delighful day. All the vineyards we visited were great. By the end of the tour it was sad to leave everyone we meet. So You guys gave us a very good surprise to the days agenda. We will recommend you guys to everybody we encounter. Hi - We had a wonderful time on our tour on Friday, 1/2/09. We tried the "educational" Vine to Wine tour for the first time and it was great! Not only did we get to taste the wine, but we got to learn about how the grapes grow in Paso, how to properly taste the wine when in the tasting rooms, and we got to go behind the scenes to see how the wine is made. It was very informative! Also, getting to keep the Reidel wine glasses was a very nice bonus. We will sign up for this tour again probably in the late summer or early fall when the grapes are ready to be picked and the vineyards are in full bloom. Cathy was an excellent guide! We really enjoy the Grapeline tours. We have been on them in Temecula as well. I don't recall ever seeing the "educational tour" anywhere else, but it should be offered in each city... such a great tour! Thanks Again -- Shannon & Travis Pierce

We really enjoyed our wine tour with Ray. He went out of our way to make it very special. We especially enjoyed our visit to the Vi Vega Winery. What a special place! We had an absolutely wonderful time. Our driver, Ray, was so knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure we all got to try the wines we liked best - the wineries he took us to had a terrific mix of wines and all of them were top-quality. My husband and I knew very little about wines - "just enough to get us in trouble" as they saying goes - and Ray's instructions on how to properly taste wine were extremely helpful. The day was structured well too - lunch was particularly well-timed - we were able to go through the whole day without getting so buzzed we couldn't properly tase and evaluate the wines.
